The Governor made his statement on Monday during the grand finale of the campaign for local government election by the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Abakaliki, the capital of Ebonyi State. He also accused those behind the planned protest of being enemies of Nigeria who want to destabilize the national government.

Uzodimma acknowledged the harsh economic conditions but urged Nigerians to remain hopeful, saying, “This government is our government, the government of President Bola Tinubu is our government. So nobody from Southeast will protest. We are not aggrieved, we have hope. Whatever they say, this government is barely one year in office. Follow your leaders, work with your leaders.”

According to Daily Post, Uzodimma’s statement is seen as a move to counter the planned protest and reassure the government of the support of the South East region. The Governor’s comments have sparked reactions from various quarters, with some hailing his stance and others criticizing his position.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
