In an interview recently shared by Punch, Clark stated that Wike admitted that their actions were aimed at causing the Fubara administration to make mistakes that would lead to its downfall.
Clark emphasized the seriousness of the situation by mentioning that he had written a public letter to the Inspector General of Police. He said in the letter, he urged the police not to allow Wike’s supporters to continue actions that breach the constitution. However, he indicated that there was no significant response to his concerns.
In Clark’s words: “He (Wike) then confessed that what they were doing was to cause the government to make more mistakes to disorganize them and they would fall. Is that a call for peace? After all, they are working together. That was why I addressed a public letter to the Inspector General of Police, not to allow his boys to be following people who are breaching the constitution.
