Fubara: Franklin Ntekim, I Want Him To Leave PDP. I Don’t See Why Atiku Has Refused To Visit Him

Rivers State political analyst Franklin Ntekim commented on the governor’s seeming lack of support within his party. Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory, tightened authority over the party, which the governor was accused of betraying. He was disappointed that Atiku Abubakar, the former vice president and front-runner for president in 2023, had not paid a visit to Fubara amid his continuous struggles.

He claimed that this seeming passivity shows a lack of support and cohesion within the party and that it puts the interests of one person ahead of those of its members.

In his words, “It is obvious that he does not enjoy the support of the party. It is also clear that the FCT minister (Nyesom Wike) must have won the party to himself and thereby made the PDP in the state toxic to the governor.”

“I want him to leave the PDP. I also don’t see why the former Vice President and the Presidential candidate of the 2023 elections, Atiku Abubakar, has refused to visit the Governor (Fubara) in the face of the battles he is going through.”
