The Recent Protest That Occurred In Kenya, Ex CBN Deputy Governor, Professor Moghalu Reacts

Professor Kingsley Moghalu, a former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has responded to the recent statewide protest that took place in Kenya and President Ruto’s withdrawal of the financial bill that was believed to have been caused by the protest.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

While reacting, Professor Moghalu demanded to know when Nigerians will speak to politicians in Nigeria. He went on and also demanded to know whether Nigerians are watching the politicians like comedians from their collective sufferings.

Professor Kingsley Moghalu made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle on Wednesday afternoon. Moghalu went on and demanded to know whether Nigerians have falling for the divide and rule by the political class along ethnic, religious lines.

Professor Kingsley Moghalu wrote: “When will Nigerians speak to our politicians? Or we are still watching comedies from our collective suffering? Or falling for the divide and rule by the political class along ethnic, regional or religious lines? This is the power of the citizen!”

It should be recalled that Kenyans on Tuesday took to the streets, to protest against President William Ruto’s recent tax hike. The mainly youth-led rallies began mostly peacefully last week, with thousands of demonstrators marching in the capital Nairobi and across the country against the tax hike.
