Governors sit and write list of elected chairmen, Fubara Could've gotten what he wanted—According to Samuel Obari

The chairman of the Ikwerre local government, Samuel Nwanosike Obari, has voiced his displeasure with the political situation in Rivers State. He claimed that if Governor Fubara had complied with Justice Omotoso’s January 24, 2024 court ruling, the conflict would have been averted. In a video shared by TVC, Obari alleged that governors select people who become local government chairmen and if Governor Fubara had followed the court ruling, he could have organized the elections in a way that suited his goals without causing conflict.
