In a statement released Tuesday, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka described Kwankwaso’s comments as “grossly insensitive, unwarranted, and unacceptable.”

Morka expressed disappointment in Kwankwaso’s pronouncements, particularly his accusations of the APC-led federal government attempting to “reclaim” Kano through a state of emergency and creating a new wave of Boko Haram-style terrorism.

He labelled these claims “baseless” and “devoid of any evidence.”

The APC statement highlighted that Kwankwaso’s remarks are particularly concerning given the sensitive nature of the Emirate crisis.

Instead of fanning the flames of discord, the APC urged Kwankwaso to actively pursue peaceful and political solutions to the impasse.

“We expect Senator Kwankwaso to demonstrate a higher degree of discretion and a better understanding of the severe social, political, and security implications of such reckless statements, which can easily fuel tension and strife in Kano,” the statement read.

The APC further emphasized the Federal Government’s neutrality in the Emirate crisis from its inception, stressing that Kwankwaso’s claims were unfounded and aimed at inciting unrest.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
