Say He Has Given Fubara The Free Hand To Lead Without Any Interference, Southern Leaders Back Wike

Amid the recent political unrest in Rivers State, Southern leaders have reportedly united around Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, according to Vanguard News. The group’s support was articulated following a meeting where they praised Wike for his unwavering focus on his ministerial duties despite the distractions from the crisis in his home state. “Wike is a man who lives above board. He has given the governor the free hand to lead the state without any interference,” one leader stated, emphasizing Wike’s commitment to allowing Governor Siminalayi Fubara to govern Rivers State autonomously.

The CNPDN further highlighted Wike’s accomplishments since assuming office as FCT Minister, noting significant transformations within the Territory. They expressed their full backing for his continued success in this role. “In nine months as FCT Minister, he has transformed the Territory. We want to assure him that we’re with him and we stand behind him to succeed as Minister,” another leader remarked.

The Southern leaders also addressed critics of Wike, urging them to desist from attempts to derail his focus. They called for support in allowing him to replicate the successes achieved during his tenure in Rivers State at the federal level.
