The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, stepped in to address the ongoing chieftaincy conflict in Kwali in a video uploaded by TVC. He pledged to present the office personnel to all parties involved. Wike spoke to the new chief at Kwali Area Council while launching a 3.2-kilometer access road to Kwali Bridge. He assured the chief and other stakeholders that he would work with the area councils and the mandate secretariat to ensure a smooth resolution. Wike promised to take this significant step towards resolving the chieftaincy dispute and restoring peace to the community.
According to him, “Let me also assure the new chief, I don’t know you before; I’ve not seen you before. I hear about your squabble, and I believe that there’s no need. All of us are the same; it’s only one person who will occupy the throne at the same time. Very soon, after the salah, I am going to hand over the staff of the office to all of you. So I pray.
