Mahdi Shehu Mocks Yahaya Bello & Ganduje With Bible Verses: Whoever Digs A Pit Will Fall Into It

Malam Mahdi Shehu, a human rights activist, political analyst, public affairs commentator, social activist, and whistleblower, has responded to the apparent difficulties that Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, a former governor of Kano State, and Yahaya Bello, a former governor of Kogi State, are encountering. In response, he shaded the aforementioned prior governors while reflecting on their issues and citing several Bible texts. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Reacting through his Twitter handle, Mahdi Shehu noted that the biblical verses he quoted should be reflected in relation to the current problem Ganduje and Yahaya Bello are facing.

According to his tweeter post, Ganduje and Yahaya Bello inflicted the problems to themselves. According to him, the problems are now overshadowing them.

While reflecting on the problems proper, he quoted three Bible verses to support his claim that the issues facing Ganduje and Yahaya Bello were self-afflicted.

The first Bible verse he quoted was from Proverbs 26:27, which says that “Whoever digs a pit will fall into it; if someone rolls a stone, it will roll back on them.” According to this verse, Mahdi Shehu implies that Yahaya Bello and Ganduje has fallen into the pit they had dug, adding that the stone which they had rolled has rolled backward and ran over them.

The second Bible verse he quoted was from Psalms 7:16 which says that “The trouble they cause recoils on them; their violence comes down on their own heads.” He implied that the trouble the embattled former governors had caused have recoiled on them.

Thirdly, he quoted Job 4:8 which says that “As I have observed, those who plough evil and those who sow trouble reap it”, implying that the embattled former governors are reaping the evils and troubles they had ploughed and sowed.

Recall that on April 15, 2024, the All Progressive Congress, APC executives in Dawakin ward, Tofa LGA of Kano, suspended Ganduje over alleged corruption. However, the working committee of the APC in Kano State subsequently nullified the suspension and punished the ward executives.

But Usman Na’Abba, a judge of the high court of Kano, upheld the suspension.

However, in the ex parte order delivered on Wednesday and seen by TheCable on Thursday, A.M Liman, another judge of the Kano high court, said the purported suspension should not be implemented until the case is heard and determined.

More so, recall that the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has declared Yahaya Bello wanted for offences relating to economic and financial crimes.

According to Punch, Yahaya Bello has been declared wanted by EFCC in connection with alleged case of money laundering amounting up to the tune of N80,246,470,089.88. It is because of these cases that Mahdi Shehu quoted the above Bible verses ending his tweet by urging Nigerians to be well guided. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
