In response, Bola Tinubu’s administration requested former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello to turn himself in to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), emphasizing that the agency is legally authorized to detain and/or invite any Nigerian for questioning.

Some parts of the statement read: “It is now beyond doubt that the EFCC is given power by the law to invite any person of interest, to interact with them in the course of their investigation into any matter regardless of status.

Recall that it was reported that the Governor of Kogi State, Usman Ododo, yesterday prevented the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, from arresting his predecessor, Yahaya Bello. Gov Ododo reportedly whisked Bello away in his official vehicle, preventing his arrest. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
