Arteta acknowledged the fine margins that decided the tie, expressing regret over missed opportunities and defensive lapses in crucial moments.

“It was a tie of very small margins,” Arteta said.

“In the first leg, we conceded two very poor goals, which had a significant impact on the overall outcome.

The game could have been decided by an error or a moment of brilliance, and unfortunately, we didn’t defend well in that crucial action.”

Despite Bayern’s challenging domestic season, marked by losing the Bundesliga title, their European experience and adaptability were evident against Arsenal.

Injuries to key players like Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry, along with Alphonso Davies’ suspension, didn’t deter Bayern from executing their game plan effectively.

“These games rarely see big scoring chances, especially at this stage of the Champions League,” Arteta said.
