Senator Shehu Sani, the former senator who represented the good people of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone, responded to this development. As he reacted, Senator Shehu Sani mentioned that he was trying to add brown sugar to his coffee and that he was sipping several sachets of coffee and that he had heard that the Kaduna State legislature was looking into the whereabouts of the World Bank’s ₦350 million loan.
Senator Shehu Sani made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle, while reacting to the recent plan of the Kaduna State House of Assembly to probe El-Rufai.
He wrote: “I read that the Kaduna State legislature is investigating the whereabouts of the World Bank $350million loan, just at the time I’m about to have some sachets of coffee. Me na Brown Sugar I de look for to add to my Coffee.”
Recall that it was reported that the Kaduna State House of Assembly constituted a committee to investigate how the $350 million World Bank loan obtained by the Former Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai adminstration was spent, as well as other financial spending and abandoned projects initiated by the Kaduna State government, between 2015 to 2023.
The speaker of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Yusuf Liman, inaugurated the 13-man committee during plenary on Tuesday. The constitution of the committee followed a motion moved by the member representing the Kauru constituency, Mugu Yusuf, demanding that the House should investigate all the loans obtained by former Governor Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.
