In a report by Punch, Ugochinyere alleged that Damagun was fully aware of and approved the scheme to oust Fubara from office. This accusation comes amidst political tensions between Governor Fubara and Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike. It would be recalled that last October, 27 lawmakers loyal to Wike attempted to impeach Fubara sparking a fierce resistance from the governor.
The 60 PDP lawmakers contend that Damagun’s silence and alleged support for the pro-Wike lawmakers indicate his alignment with the ruling APC. Ugochinyere condemned Damagun’s purported involvement, questioning his integrity as a party chairman.
In Ugochinyere’s words: “Nigerians will be shocked to hear that Damagun is fully aware of the entire details of the plots to impeach the Rivers State Governor and he gave his approval to the plot, yet he refers to himself as a chairman of a party”. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
