Social media users’ responses to a photo that appeared online showing Peter Gregory Obi, the former governor of Anambra state, arriving at Chief Osondo Nwoye’s funeral site, were mixed. Recall that earlier this year, in Cote D’Ivoire, Chief Osondo Nwoye passed away during the African Cup of Nations competition. However, photo of Peter Obi attending his burial ceremony in Amanuke, Anambra state has now been shared online.
The Peter Obi Media Arm (POMA) wrote on their official X handle after sharing the photo;
“H.E. Peter Obi attended the burial of Chief Osondu Nwoye, the Côte d’ Ivoire-based Nigerian who collapsed and died during the penalty shootouts in the Nigeria vs South Africa match at the Nations Cup. He was accompanied by Mr. Valentine Ozigbo”.
