Fubara: According to Wike, They Are Telling Him That They Will Teach Me A Lesson But They Don't Have The Capacity

According to allegations made by Nyesom Wike, the former minister of the Federal Capital Territory and governor of Rivers State, some people are warning Rivers State Governor Sim Fubara that they will teach him [Wike] a political lesson. But he bragged that these people couldn’t compete with him politically. He recalled his political rivalry with them from 2007, the year he supported Governor Amaechi and overthrew them in elections. He further disclosed how he purchased PDP nomination forms for various political figures, including the incumbent governor and members of the Rivers State Assembly. He openly acknowledged this action as a collective agreement to support a single candidate for the governorship position.

He said in an interview with TVC, ”I know these people very well. They are telling him [Fubara] that they will teach me a lesson but they don’t have the capacity. These people from 2007 have never been in the same political camp with us. In 2007, I was with Amaechi and we defeated them.

When I wanted to be governor, they were against me until they submitted to me because they had no chance in the primaries. And then I won. I have always to manage the political situation locally because I knew that the federal government was fighting me.”

Speaking about the PDP nomination forms for the 2023 election, he said, ”I bought the forms for all of them including the Governor and the Rivers Assembly lawmakers. And I’m not hiding it. We all agreed to pick one individual as governor.”

The FCT minister who has locked horns with his predecessor has claimed that Governor Fubara intends to take away his political structure in the state. He argued that the governor has refused to heed to the resolution made by the President last year. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
