Social media users have responded in a variety of ways to Atedo Peterside’s request that former Anambra state governor Peter Obi and former Nigerian vice president Atiku Abubakar join him in praising President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for stopping publicly funded travel for federal government officials. The president stated in the report that was posted on CHANNELS TV’s official X handle that the decision was made to lower the expense of governance and to increase the effectiveness and focus of each MDA head.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was quoted as saying;
“To make all heads of MDAs focus on effective service delivery, especially with regards to the mandates assigned to them”.
However, Atedo Peterside has now called on Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar to join him in applauding president Bola Ahmed Tinubu for. In a post that he shared on his official X handle, he said it is never too late to do the right thing.
Atedo Peterside wrote on his page;
“It is never too late in life to do the correct thing. Atiku and Peter Obi should please join me in applauding this long overdue positive signal”.
