In a recent interview with The Sun, Adams, who served as the National Coordinator of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC), revealed that despite the belief that Wakili was an elusive figure who could not be captured, his team accomplished the feat within four weeks. He said they successfully apprehended Wakili’s second-in-command (2IC) along with three accomplices within two weeks and that within four weeks, they were able to capture Wakili himself. He emphasized that they promptly handed Wakili over to the Divisional Police Officer in Igboora

In Adams’ words: “[People] thought Wakili that was killing Ibarapa people was a spirit that could not be caught but within two weeks, we apprehended his second in command and three people.
