Speaking just hours after the military destroyed the hamlet, Sani echoed concerns that are reminiscent of difficulties encountered in conflict areas such as Gaza when he stressed the necessity for accuracy in handling the situation.

In his words, he said; “The Military should go specifically after those who perpetrated the heinous acts in the Delta Community.But that is what we are saying in Gaza”.

The Okuama community, situated in the Ughelli South Local Government Area, became the epicenter of turmoil when news broke of the soldiers’ deaths. Allegations swirled that enraged soldiers may have carried out the retaliatory attack, sparking fears of escalating violence and reprisals in the region.
