The Bokkos Area Is More Than The Size Of Some Countries, We Don't Have The Men To Cover It -According to Gen Musa

General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defense Staff, has emphasized the difficult topography of the North and its enormous landmass, using Bokkos as an example of an area greater than certain nations. Recognizing that the army lacked the manpower to cover such vast areas, he underlined that successful monitoring required technology. However, he pointed out that purchasing technology might be expensive for a nation facing financial difficulties. He stated that despite these challenges, he emphasized the importance of making do with the available resources and highlighted efforts to address issues in the South-South, particularly in crude oil production, to boost the country’s financial position.

He said in an interview with Daily Trust TV, ”If you consider the land mass that we are dealing with, you will know that the North is a difficult terrain. The Bokkos entire area is more than the size of some countries, we don’t have the men to cover it. But we now have to leverage on technology. We don’t produce technology, we have to buy it. And in buying the country is also going through financial challenges. The military is not the only issue that needs money.

We have to manage with what we have. And that is what we are doing. In the South-South where we produce the crude oil, we are making all efforts to ensure that there is effective production because production has really gone very low. And because we are not producing more, we don’t have more money. And because of that again, it’s affecting the currency.
