Blind woman searching for missing daughter – Why I suspect my stepdaughter

Agnes Forte, a 33-year-old blind mother, is extremely concerned about her missing 1-year-old daughter and believes that her 13-year-old stepdaughter—whose identity is still unknown—is to blame. The same day Forte noticed her daughter’s clothes disappearing and money missing, she also found her disappearance. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

During a Saturday PUNCH interview, Forte expressed her concerns, revealing that her stepdaughter had stolen money and told someone she was going to her grandmother’s house.

“I just don’t trust my stepdaughter (name withheld), so I’m afraid for my daughter’s safety.” She took my money, hurried off, and said to the pepper-grinder that she was heading to her grandmother’s house.

“Maybe she was on her way there and branched to another place. I’m also suspecting that she may have gone to her friends at Ojuore, Ogun State, where she stayed before coming to live with us. I’m just very confused,” she said.

The blind mother, who only recently acquainted herself with her stepdaughter in January, revealed the stepdaughter’s tumultuous history. The girl was brought from an orphanage to her grandmother’s care and later reunited with her father in 2016. Forte emphasized her husband’s lack of information about the stepdaughter’s mother and appealed for assistance in reaching out to her or her family.

“I don’t really know her (name withheld). She just started staying with me in January. I have known my husband before I started having issues with my eyes. I began staying with him in 2021 and my sight challenges began in 2018. She only started staying with us in 2023. My mother-in-law and husband are the two people I know that are connected to her. She was brought from the orphanage to her grandma’s place. When she was two years old, she was left at the orphanage.

“In 2016, her father located her and took her from the orphanage to his mother’s place. As it stands, the whereabouts of her mother is unknown. Her mother got pregnant by my husband shortly after they met and that was how she was born. They were never married. My husband doesn’t have any information about her mother’s family. Since the incident, I’ve told him to try and get in contact with her mother or her family but he said he has no information about them,” she stated.

The missing toddler, whose disappearance occurred on November 28, 2023, from their residence in Akowonjo, Lagos, has left Forte desperate for help. She implores Nigerians to join her in the search for her beloved one-year-old daughter. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
