Alan Shearer criticized Chelsea’s defensive approach, saying their excessive risk-taking led directly to the opening goal.

Following the game, manager Enzo Maresca addressed the performance of midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

Maresca highlighted that Chelsea’s struggle to regain composure after Alexander Isak’s early goal played a significant role in their loss.

Speaking to football.london and other media, Maresca explained, “I said, for me, we lost the game because of 10 minutes after we conceded the first goal.”

He stated the broader lack of control, stating, “After that, for 10 minutes, we lost the control. After that, we need more control but it’s not only from Enzo, it’s in general.”

Chelsea’s early exit from the Carabao Cup means they’ll now turn their focus to other competitions, including the Conference League, where they are considered strong favorites, and the FA Cup, set to begin in January.

The loss is a setback, but Maresca’s team remains in the hunt for silverware this season.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
