
The Kaduna State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Nuhu Bello Muhammadu Dansadau, has announced the arrest of a rail vandal and his driver in Gwagwada community, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
“Our personnel, in a joint operation with the Nigerian Army (Fasan Yamman) along the Abuja-Kaduna Highway, sprang into action and apprehended the suspects,” he stated.
According to him, the corps has taken the suspects, Tasiu Mohammed, 33, and his driver, Jamilu Sanusi, 39, into custody, along with the recovered exhibits. He added that the suspects would be charged in court as soon as investigations are completed.
The commandant, while appealing to residents to provide information about criminals within their communities, emphasised that the corps personnel in the state would not allow criminals any breathing space across the 23 local government areas and their environs until they either repent or are arrested and brought to justice.
He commended Governor Uba Sani for providing the corps with the necessary support to carry out their daily duties.
