“She thinks she doesn’t need anyone again” – Drama as Wumi Toriola calls out popular chef for ignoring her message

Wumi Toriola calls out Chef T

Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola is back at it again, this time with popular celebrity chef, Chef T of Dairy of A Kitchen Lover.

Taking to her Instagram story, she shared a screenshot of the DM she sent to the popular chef, begging her to feature her in one of her cooking episodes, with the aim to promote her Cinema movie, Queen Lateefah.

Unfortunately for her, the celebrity chef didn’t respond to her DM, which left Wumi infuriated, especially given rumours that Chef T also had a falling out with Funke Akindele.

Calling her out, Wumi stated that she feels the chef doesn’t need anyone again and can grow by herself. She questioned if it was December when her movie came out, hence why the chef ignored her DM.

“Chef T @diaryofakitchenlover feels she doesn’t need anyone again. Na only she grow her grow. Shey na December me sef come out?”.

Explaining why she called the chef out, Wumi stated that she was giving the celebrity chef aura for aura as she slammed those who say one rise by lifting others up.

Addressing those bashing her for calling Chef T out, she noted how people use stanship to condone mannerless acts.

“This is how I wear sunshades when I want to say the truth.
Be cheering nonsense because you all hate my guts
To the sensible people,
Aura for what again????

If I hear, “We rise by lifting others from you all hypocrites
Using stanship to condone mannerless acts
A to yin ti, tueh

LOKO LAYA still trending on youtube via wumitoriolatv”.

Wumi further praised those who have grown and still maintain healthy collaboration.

“Shout-out to great people who have grown and still maintain healthy collaborations”.

Despite Chef T’s snub, Wumi made history in the cinemaworld as she was ranked the second-highest producer of 2024, beating the likes of Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Abraham, Eniola Ajao, and others to achieve this milestone.

Wunmi’s entrance to the world of Cinema movie has undoubtedly won her awards and broken records. Despite it being her first time making movies for the cinema, Wumi earned 57.7 million on its opening weekend. The huge feat made it the highest Nollywood opening weekend for a non-holiday weekend and the highest-ever Nollywood opening weekend by an independent distributor.

Her record breaking feat had won her an award at the box office. The Yoruba actress was awarded the box office champion of 2024 by the National Film and Video Censors Board NFVCB.
