Controversial British broadcaster Piers Morgan has insisted that Arsenal’s Premier League season is slipping away.
Morgan made the comment while reacting to Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United on Sunday.
According to him, it is “so depressing” because the Gunners have no “bloody striker”.
In a tweet on X, Morgan also thanked God for midfielder Declan Rice, who equalised for Arsenal against Ruben Amorim’s side.
Goals from Bruno Fernandes and Rice ensured both Man United and Arsenal shared the points at Old Trafford.
“Thank God for @_DeclanRice or we’d have lost that match against a crap United side,” Morgan wrote on X.
“Arsenal’s season is drifting away – again – and it’s all because we have no bloody strikers. So depressing.”
The result leaves Arsenal in second place in the Premier League table, 15 points behind leaders Liverpool.
Mikel Arteta’s side, however, have a game in hand.
Meanwhile, Manchester United sit 14th in the league with 34 points from 28 games.
