Two alleged “one-chance” criminals met a grisly end at the hands of an angry mob in the Lugbe neighborhood of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Saturday. Eyewitness accounts detailed how the incident escalated after the suspects attempted to dispose of a victim mid-transit. A commercial driver who identified himself as Ahmed recounted the chaotic scene to journalists. According to him, the criminals had violently ejected a victim from their vehicle, prompting bystanders and passersby to spring into action. In an effort to prevent the suspects from escaping, some members of the public immediately gave chase.

“What happened was that after a victim of one chance was thrown out of a moving vehicle, some people chased the vehicle and caught up with them after Dunamis church,” Ahmed narrated.

He further disclosed that there were three individuals inside the vehicle at the time of their capture. One of the suspected criminals managed to evade the crowd and fled the scene, while the remaining two were not as fortunate. The mob descended upon them, subjecting them to severe beatings. One suspect succumbed to his injuries almost immediately, while the other was left in critical condition. However, unverified reports later suggested that he also did not survive the ordeal.

Meanwhile, some compassionate individuals at the scene rushed the injured victim—who had initially been thrown out of the moving Car—to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention. The extent of the victim’s injuries remained unclear at the time of reporting.

In a bid to confirm the incident and provide official details, journalists reached out to the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh. She acknowledged the inquiry but had yet to issue an official statement as of the time of filing this report.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
