This statement came after the Ogun State Police Command declared him wanted.
Portable made the revelation in a video shared on his Instagram account on Tuesday, where he appealed to both Nigerians and the Ogun State Government.
The singer’s recent troubles began when he was reportedly involved in a violent confrontation with three officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development at the Ota Zonal Office.
The officials, TPL Onabanjo Abidemi, TPL Raymond Lateef, and TPL Ridwan Oyero Akinlesi, were conducting an enforcement operation at Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota in Ogun State.
According to the officials, they initially encountered an elderly man, later confirmed to be Portable’s father, at a local establishment called Odogwu Bar.
Upon identifying themselves, the officials requested to see the approved building plan for the property in question.
Portable’s father informed the officials that his son was not available at the time.
However, soon after, Portable arrived at the scene, armed with a firearm and accompanied by a group of nine thugs.
The singer then led a violent attack on the unarmed officials, who were reportedly just carrying out their duties.
In the aftermath of the incident, nine of Portable’s accomplices were arrested, but the singer managed to flee the scene and has been on the run ever since.
In response to the situation, Portable took to Instagram, where he voiced his frustrations and appealed to both the public and the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun.
He claimed that he had been set up, explaining that he was wearing a vest featuring the face of Senator Adeola Solomon, known as Yayi, which might have led to his involvement in the altercation.
Additionally, Portable made a controversial confession, stating that he is a madman and is undergoing treatment for his condition.
He mentioned that he regularly receives care at the Aro Hospital in Abeokuta and possesses a card that certifies him as a patient there.
He further emphasized his mental health struggles, saying, “I fear government. I am a federal government liability. Then I’m a madman; I have medications that I usually take. You can confirm from Aro Hospital. I have a card that certifies me as one of their patients.”
Portable went on to clarify that despite the incident, he is not a criminal.
He stated, “I am not a thief; I assist those around me without considering their background,” and expressed that this should be understood by those who are judging him.
Portable’s outburst on Instagram painted a picture of a man in distress, trying to explain his actions and circumstances in light of his recent legal troubles.
His appeal to the government and the public has added another layer to the ongoing controversy surrounding his actions.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
