A few weeks back, she gave an update on her state of health as she spoke about her healing. The Kogi movie star lamented over how she is no longer healing because it is not enough for her. The controversial actress claimed she is at a stage where she needs her memory to be erased.

Kemi Filani reported last year that Halima Abubakar was suspended by the Actors Guild of Nigeria for defamation of her colleagues and other high-profile Nigerians. She was accused of slandering her colleagues and patrons and having extramarital affairs with a highly profiled individual in society.

Following the suspension, Halima issued an apology to Apostle Johnson Suleman for defaming him and causing various harm to his ministry and family. The actress acknowledged every falsehood she made against the cleric, admitted to her false allegations, and sought his forgiveness. She also expressed deep regrets for tarnishing his image hoping her letter could repair the damage to an extent.

The drama between Halima Abubakar and Apostle Johnson Suleman started in 2022.

Halima became bedridden following her altercation with Apostle Suleman. Her family also took to social media to call out the clergyman to stay away from her.

However, many alleged that the actress was battling an autoimmune disease. Debunking the claims, Halima shared her medical report which was shoved aside as many claimed that the report doesn’t prove anything.
