Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo has responded sharply to a social media user who accused her husband, Juma Jux, of paying for the AFRIMA award he won on Sunday night.
Juma Jux, a Tanzanian singer and Priscilla’s husband, emerged as the Best Male Artist in Eastern Africa at the 9th edition of the African Music Awards (AFRIMA), held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos. His win sparked massive excitement, with fans and celebrities congratulating him — including his wife.
Taking to her Snapchat page, Priscilla proudly celebrated the achievement, writing:
“Congratulations, baby. So proud of you!!”
However, not everyone was impressed. A follower replied to her post with a dismissive comment suggesting the award was purchased.
“Award wey una buy o.”
Unamused, Priscilla didn’t hold back. She fired back, telling the troll to drop the negativity in the new year.
“Belle, it’s a new year, stop hating, girl.”
She went a step further by posting a screenshot of the person’s profile and adding a pointed caption:
“Too pretty to be hating?”
This isn’t the first time Priscilla has defended her husband against online critics. When Juma previously won Best East African Artiste of the Year at the Headies, some people also claimed he was only getting recognition because of his marriage to her. Priscilla sarcastically dismissed those claims, calling Juma smart, hardworking, and intentional about his success.
From winning major awards to hosting a successful Lagos concert, Juma Jux continues to make waves across Africa — and Priscilla is making it clear that she won’t allow anyone downplay her husband’s achievements in 2026.
