The Redeemed Christian Church of God’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has reportedly demanded the release of TikTok user Olumide Ogunsanwo, popularly known as “SeaKing,” who was recently arrested again on suspicion of cyberbullying him, according to Punch. Adeboye said this at the church’s monthly Holy Ghost Service, which was held on Friday at Redemption City, which is located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
A video of Adeboye’s sermon, which began circulating the following Saturday, shows him addressing the issue.
He clarified that he was not involved in SeaKing’s arrest, explaining that individuals upset by the TikToker’s comments made the decision to detain him.
Adeboye expressed, “I heard that there is someone who lambasted me thoroughly. What is my offence? Because I asked my people to fast for 100 days. I didn’t ask him o.”
He went on to clarify, “I didn’t ask anyone who is not a member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God to fast.”
He added that, according to reports, some individuals had become so enraged that they took matters into their own hands and arrested SeaKing.
Adeboye called for the TikToker’s release, stating, “Release him, he’s fulfilling prophecy.”
Human rights advocate Omoyele Sowore visited SeaKing in police custody on Friday, accompanied by a team of lawyers.
Sowore reported that they were informed that SeaKing’s arrest stemmed from a petition filed by one Paul James Adama, who allegedly used the name of a Christian association or group “affiliated with FPRO Adejobi Olumuyiwa.”
