On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, a 48-year-old woman who was allegedly a fraudster operating in the vicinity of Fatai Atere Way and its surroundings was taken into custody by agents of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency’s (LNSA) Mushin command after defrauding a teenager, according to reports on the Lagos State Government’s X handle and website.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

According to the report, the woman, whose name was given as Toyin Ariyo, was apprehended as she reportedly attempted to swindle an 18-year-old girl, simply known as Ayomide, around the Cappa area of Agege Motor Road.

 

The arrested woman, as posted today.

 

She was also said to have told the operatives after her arrest that she had been involved in fraudulent activities in the state for more than 20 years.

Part of the statement reads: “The suspect, who confessed to have been in the fraudulent trade for over 20 years, met her Waterloo when an officer of the corps noticed and accosted the victim, Ayomide, who displayed signs of distress and fear.

“Following the completion of the preliminary investigation, the case was immediately transferred to the police for further investigation and prosecution.”
