Recalling the event, Misturah described how she was taken aback by the scale of the operation. She recounted seeing a female officer among the DSS operatives after being ushered into one of their vehicles. In a brief exchange, Misturah sought clarification on the reason for her son’s arrest but received a question in return about Ayomide’s profession. Misturah explained that Ayomide had recently completed pharmaceutical training and that her family was making arrangements to support her further.

Their detention has raised questions among family members, who expressed confusion over the allegations linking them to terrorism.
The incident has highlighted concerns about transparency and due process in cases of such nature. Family members noted that the DSS operatives did not provide substantial information regarding the investigation, leaving them uncertain about the next steps.
