Speaking in Abuja at a national conference on strengthening democracy, Amaechi said APC leaders were determined and well-prepared.
He credited their effort as the reason for their success against former President Goodluck Jonathan.
Amaechi explained that Jonathan only conceded defeat after realizing APC was ready to defend its victory.
He advised Nigerians to adopt similar strategies in future elections.
The event was organized by the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy, and Development.
During his speech, Amaechi underlined the importance of political vigilance, urging citizens to protect their votes ahead of 2027 election.
Amaechi was one of 14 aspirants who contested for the APC presidential ticket before the 2023 election.
He finished second in the primary with 316 votes, while Bola Tinubu won with 1,271 votes.
