According to The Nigerian Tribune, Taiwo and Kehinde Yemitan are 47-year-old twin brothers. In Yoruba culture, twins are often viewed as symbols of good luck and blessings. However, these twins have brought shame to their family instead of honor. They have been accused of leading a kidnapping gang that kills people, cuts their bodies into pieces, and sells the parts for rituals and for making magic soaps believed to bring wealth.
In addition to their criminal activities, the brothers worked as carpenters and herbalists. Their latest victim was a young girl named Darasimi. They deceived her into coming to their hideout in the Premier area of Abeokuta, where they killed her and dismembered her body to sell and use for ritual purposes.
However, their crimes caught up with them a few weeks ago. The Ogun State Police Command, in collaboration with other security agencies, arrested Taiwo and another suspect named Kazeem on December 22, 2024, for the murder and dismemberment of Darasimi. Meanwhile, Kehinde managed to escape.
Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, confirmed that the brothers lured Darasimi, who was a sex worker, to their home in Abeokuta, where they killed her.
In the audio confession, Taiwo admitted to the crime and explained how they had been killing people for ritual purposes. He said that after killing their victims, they would cut up the bodies and sell the parts to customers who used them for money-making rituals.
Giving an insight into how their latest victim was killed and dismembered, Taiwo Yemitan said that it was Kehinde that lured the victim to their home where they killed her and dismembered her body.
Taiwo Yemitan confessed that Darasimi, a sex worker, was picked up from the Lafenwa area of Abeokuta and brought to their office on a Friday by his twin brother, Kehinde.
Once there, they served her fufu, which a teenage boy named Samson had bought from a nearby food vendor. Samson regularly helped the brothers with chores and errands. Taiwo mentioned that he also ate some of the fufu they gave to Darasimi.
Later in the evening, a man named Kazeem arrived at their office. Taiwo said it was his first time meeting Kazeem.
That night, Taiwo overheard Darasimi making phone calls. She told someone on the other end that she would be returning home the next day.
Not long after, Kehinde told Taiwo that Darasimi was the person they planned to kill for ritual purposes.
Kehinde then led Darasimi into a nearby office room and started a conversation with her. During this time, Kazeem suddenly appeared and covered Darasimi’s face with a handkerchief, leading to the execution of their plan.
He said, “I held her legs while Kehinde also held her down to prevent her from struggling with us. Kazeem slaughtered her, severed her head and drained her blood into a bowl, mixed it with alcohol.”
Further talking, he said, “Kazeem dismembered her, and took a large part of her body parts including her intestines away. We only took her heart, kidney, head and leg.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
