Olumuyiwa Adejobi: “The President Went To Enugu And You Abused The Enugu Leaders For Receiving Him”

 

A detained content creator has been directly challenged by Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the PRO for the Nigeria Police Force, for allegedly disseminating unsubstantiated information regarding presidential actions and government spending.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

In a broadcast by Symfoni, Adejobi questioned suspect Destiny Ekhorutomuen about his budget analysis claims. “You analyzed the budget for the office of the Vice President and the President, and you said they are spending 9 billion naira for refreshment,” the PRO stated, before challenging the source of the information: “Have you seen the proposed budget yourself? Have you done the analysis of the total budget allocation?”

The Police spokesman also accused the suspect over a video of him criticizing a presidential visit in Enugu few days ago. “The President went to Enugu, and you abused the Enugu Leaders for receiving him,” Adejobi noted, adding that the suspect had falsely claimed “that the IGP has directed that they should be arresting everybody who criticizes the government.”

Adejobi accused the suspect of publishing unverified content. “You just came online to do fake analysis and attack the proposal of the budget,” he stated.

Destiny Ekhorutomuen was charged by the police with the offense of criminal defamation and illegal incitement of the money. The Suspect was taken to Abuja after he was arrested by the Edo State Police command in Abuja on the 8th of January. During the interrogative section by the Police, Destiny claimed to have gotten the information of how 9 billion naira was being budgeted for the President and Vice President refreshment through a media platform called Nigerian Blog.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
