All Progressives Congress (APC) National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka has stated that he and his family have received more than 200 death threats as a result of his comments on Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi. Morka’s comments about Obi sparked controversy when he accused the Labour Party leader of crossing the line in his criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In an interview on Arise News on January 8, 2025, Morka revealed he had documented 400 threats, including 200 explicit death threats.

These threats, he said, detailed plans to harm him, including shooting, beheading, and other violent acts, some also targeting his family members.

According to Vanguard, Morka insisted that these threats were not mere words but serious and graphic in nature.

Denying any intention to threaten Obi, Morka stated that his comments were a direct response to Obi being labeled a “voodoo economist” and a “prophet of doom.”

He dismissed the accusations as baseless, challenging Obi to provide evidence of any threats made against him or his family.
