Philip Shaibu, Asue Said He Has 40 Years Experience As A Lawyer, Someone Who Has Never Gone To Court

 

Following the conclusion of the Edo Governorship Election, in which Asue Ighodalo lost to APC Candidate Monday Okpebholo, Edo State Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu recently questioned Ighodalo’s career and integrity in an interview with TVC News.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Responding to Ighodalo’s claims of having 40 years of legal experience, Shaibu pointed out that despite this lengthy career, Ighodalo has allegedly never appeared in court, implying that his experience lacks depth.

“Asue said he has spent 40 years as a lawyer. Has he ever gone to court? Forty years of experience without going to court. It’s all gain,” Shaibu remarked.

Shaibu’s criticism extended beyond Ighodalo’s professional career, drawing a connection to Nigeria’s economic struggles. He suggested that figures like Ighodalo and outgoing Governor Godwin Obaseki, with backgrounds in the private sector, contribute to the challenges the nation faces. “When you have Asue and Obaseki in the private sector… it will be difficult to change the narrative because the private sector is supposed to be the driver of our economy,” he said.
