“A Witch-Hunt” – Senator Fires Explosive Accusations After Charges Dropped

Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has launched a fierce public accusation against two of Nigeria’s most prominent political figures, alleging a targeted campaign of persecution against her.

Speaking outside the Abuja Federal High Court after cybercrime charges against her were officially dropped, the Kogi Central Senator named Senate President Godswill Akpabio and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello. She claimed they “misuse power to their advantage in witch-hunting an innocent person.”

The charges were struck out by Justice Mohammed Umar following a notice of discontinuance filed by the Attorney-General of the Federation’s office.

Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan told journalists the withdrawal proved the case was “maliciously instigated.” She expressed gratitude to her constituents and specifically thanked President Bola Tinubu, stating, “He was briefed on the truth and ordered the discontinuance.”

Her statement concluded on a note of vindication: “I have never doubted that Nigeria is a land of possibilities and the truth will somehow get one vindicated.”
