A central figure in the high-stakes investigation into an alleged assassination plot against FCT Minister Nyesom Wike has failed to appear before police authorities.
Tammy Danagogo, the former Secretary to the Rivers State Government, officially declined his scheduled interrogation, citing he was out of town.
The Police Intelligence Response Team had summoned Danagogo for Thursday regarding a leaked audio conversation. In the recording, voices alleged to be his and a Port Harcourt pastor allegedly conspired to hire foreign assassins to target the Minister.
Through his legal representatives, Danagogo requested a significant postponement, pushing the potential interview date to late January. His lawyers formally communicated his unavailability to the police unit handling the sensitive case.
This development introduces a new layer of tension to the politically charged probe, as a primary suspect delays facing questioning over the grave allegations.
