Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo is proudly celebrating her son-in-law, Juma Jux, following his big win at the 2026 African Music Awards (AFRIMA).
The awards ceremony was held on January 11 at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos, where the Tanzanian singer emerged as Best Male Artist in Eastern Africa, a victory that surprised many and further cemented his growing influence in African music.
Taking to her Instagram page, Iyabo Ojo shared her excitement and congratulated Juma on the achievement.
“Sexiest glamma live at Afrima award. Congratulations, son @juma_jux, on your awards,” she wrote.
This isn’t the first time Iyabo has publicly shown support for her daughter’s husband. When Juma held his first Lagos concert in December, she described him as hardworking, intentional, and blessed, adding that his dedication to his craft is one of the reasons God rewarded him with a loving and supportive wife.
Juma’s wife, Priscilla Ojo, also celebrated the singer’s success. She praised him for pulling off such an impressive performance and said his show proved what a real concert should look like. In another message, she described him as the definition of a real man and applauded his commitment to excellence.
Juma Jux has been enjoying steady success in Nigeria. In 2024, shortly after going public with his relationship with Priscilla, he won Best Artist/Group in Eastern Africa at the Jaylia Awards in Côte d’Ivoire, where he openly thanked his wife and expressed his love for her.
Even when critics suggested that his marriage to Priscilla was a strategy to gain recognition and awards in Nigeria, Priscilla shut them down, stating that her husband is simply a smart, hardworking, and strategic artist who deserves every win.
With his latest AFRIMA victory, Juma Jux continues to strengthen his position as one of East Africa’s leading music stars — and he clearly has the full support of his famous Nigerian family.
