TG Omori Opens Up About Grueling Battle With Kidney Disease, Calls It Life’s Worst Ordeal

Nigerian music video director ThankGod Smith Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, has revealed the struggles he has faced living with kidney disease, describing it as one of the most harrowing experiences a person can endure.

In August 2024, Omori underwent a kidney transplant, which unfortunately was unsuccessful. Since then, he has been frequently hospitalized as he continues to battle the illness.

Reflecting on his journey, Omori shared the immense physical and financial toll the disease has taken on him. He emphasized that managing kidney disease requires constant medical attention and spending, often running into millions of naira. “Dealing with kidney issues is one of the worst things that can happen to anyone. I don’t even wish it on my enemy. It is financially draining. Money will have no value to you; any money you have, you will just want to keep spending it every other day so you can stay alive,” he explained.

Omori also highlighted the extreme pain associated with the condition, noting that many lives are lost because patients cannot afford proper treatment or manage the discomfort. Despite these challenges, he expressed gratitude for his survival, thanking God for the grace to keep fighting.

The music video director’s candid disclosure has drawn widespread empathy from fans and the entertainment community, shedding light on the harsh realities of kidney disease.
