Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck has officially received the full suite of prizes associated with his win in the Next Rated category at the 17th Headies Awards.
On April 27, 2025, Tochukwu Gbubemi Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, clinched the prestigious Next Rated award, triumphing over strong contenders including Shallipopi, Qing Madi, Ayo Maff, and Nasboi. The award, presented by music superstar Davido, recognizes the most promising emerging talent in Nigeria’s music scene and is widely regarded as one of the Headies’ top honors.
Months of anticipation ended on January 8, 2026, when Odumodublvck took to social media to express his gratitude to the Headies organizers. He has now officially collected the full package of prizes: an electric vehicle (EV), a house, a plot of land, and a five-year US visa.
Since its inception in 2006, the Next Rated category has awarded over 20 cars to winners through the Headies and its talent discovery platform, Mic Check. Previous recipients include globally recognized stars such as Wande Coal, Omawumi, Wizkid, Davido, Teni, Mayorkun, Mr. Eazi, Rema, BNXN, and Asake, cementing the award’s reputation as a launchpad for Nigerian music talent.
