Nigeria Premier Football League side Kano Pillars have confirmed the exit of two members of their squad as preparations intensify for the second phase of the 2025/2026 season.
The Kano-based club announced that striker Samuel Tiza and midfielder Umar Sani Yakasai have both left the team following the termination of their contracts. The decision, according to the club, was reached through mutual agreement.
In a brief statement released on Wednesday, the Sai Masu Gida explained that the separation was amicable, allowing the players to seek fresh opportunities elsewhere as the league campaign continues.
Both footballers are now free to pursue the next chapter of their careers ahead of the league’s restart, while Kano Pillars are expected to adjust their squad accordingly.
Sources around the club suggest that management is already considering new signings to strengthen the team and cover the gaps created by the departures, as Kano Pillars aim to improve their fortunes in the remaining fixtures of the season.
