Fear Spreads as Armed Men Storm Old Oyo National Park

Tension gripped parts of Oyo State on Wednesday following reports that armed men launched an attack on the Old Oyo National Park in the Oke Ogun axis of the state.

Sources disclosed that gunshots were heard within the park during the incident, with unconfirmed reports indicating that lives may have been lost. As of the time of reporting, authorities had not released official figures on casualties.

The incident was confirmed by the spokesperson of the Oyo State Police Command, who stated that the attack was carried out by unidentified assailants targeting personnel within the national park.

In response, top security officials, including the Commissioner of Police and heads of other security agencies, were said to be heading to the area to assess the situation firsthand.
