Borno govt announces Tinubu’s visit to Maiduguri on Saturday

President Bola Tinubu will visit Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, on Saturday to commission projects executed by the administration of Babagana Zulum, governor of the state.

The visit was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday evening by Usman Tar, commissioner for information and internal security in Borno state.

Tar said the president would be in the state on a working visit to inaugurate completed developmental projects.

“The government and good people of Borno state welcome President, commander-in-chief of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR, as he conducts a working visit on Saturday, December 20, 2025, to commission laudable projects of the Zulum administration,” the statement read.

The commissioner urged residents to turn out in large numbers to receive the president during the visit.

“Members of the public are requested to turn out en masse to welcome Mr President, and to demonstrate the highest level of decorum and orderly conduct,” the statement read.

“Let us showcase Borno as the home of peace, law and order,” the statement added.
